20 million tourists visited Croatia in 2018 setting a record
More than 1 billion euro was invested in tourism

A record of almost 20 million tourists visited Croatia in 2018, announced the Croatian Tourist Board this week. This is 6.5% more than in 2017 and a new record in Croatian tourism history. Istria was the most popular region this year, followed by the Split, Kvarner, Zadar and Dubrovnik.
More than 106 million overnight stays were recorded, representing 4% more than in 2017, according to the Ministry of Tourism. In 2017, 18.5 million tourists visited Croatia with 102 million overnight stays. More than one billion euro was invested in tourism last year and the expected investment in 2019 are at a similar level. Croatia will develop as a year-round destination with an emphasis on the pre-season and with an even greater emphasis on continental tourism in 2019.
