Bucharest is getting ready to host EURO 2020

The Romanian capital Bucharest will be one of the 12 hosts of the European Football Championship (EURO 2020), alongside London, Munich, Rome, Baku, Sankt Petersburg, Bilbao, Budapest, Glasgow, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Dublin.
The large-scale sport event will take place in June and Bucharest and will host four of the EURO 2020 matches. The city is working hard and is preparing a large number of activities and special events for supporters and visitors.
The National Arena Bucharest (Arena Națională), previously home only to the Romania national team, will now also host three Group C matches and one round of sixteen for EURO 2020. The capacity of the stadium is 54,000 seats and it is a preferred venue for cup finals.
The sports venue reopened in 2001. It is a home of FCSB, Dinamo București, Romania national team. The sport facility is located approximately 5 kilometres away from the city centre. The stadium has a retractable roof which takes only 15 minutes to open or close.
What's new this year for UEFA EURO is the UEFA Festival, which will do great work with the passion and the excitement of the sports lovers on the streets of Bucharest. The UEFA Festival is preparing something for everyone. For one month the UEFA Festival will bring the city of Bucharest to life with a celebration of arts, culture, music and of course football.

- Sunday, 14 June - Group C: Austria v Play-off winner D or A (18:00, local time)
- Thursday, 18 June - Group C: Ukraine v Play-off winner D or A (15:00, local time)
- Monday, 22 June - Group C: Ukraine v Austria (18:00, local time)
- Monday, 29 June - R16: 1F v 3A/B/C (21:00, local time)
