The largest cybersecurity conference in the Balkans comes to Sofia with its second edition in March, economic.bg reported. Sofia CyberSec 2020 will once again bring together representatives of the executive branch, international organizations, businesses and companies that offer solutions for the protection of digital infrastructure.

On March 24, at the John Atanasoff Forum of Sofia Tech Park, over 40 speakers will discuss current cyber defense cases and present concrete measures in various fields. In addition to the events on the main stage, there will be workshops organized by leading global cybersecurity companies.

NATO is the institutional partner of the forum, organized by the Digital National Alliance ( DNA), which is part of the initiative of the European Commission – Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition.

Answers to troubling questions

Cybercrime is gaining ground and digital security and defense structures need rapid adaptation to the latest technologies used by criminals on the web. Unauthorized intrusion into critical infrastructure threatens the functioning of state institutions, but also endangers the security of every citizen.

How do government institutions protect sensitive data and how do they cooperate with international institutions? Is Bulgaria prepared to respond to modern cyber threats and how does it cooperate with other NATO and EU member states? How can private companies prevent malicious attacks and what are the best software products recommended by world leaders in cybersecurity?

These questions will be answered within the framework of Sofia CyberSec 2020. You can find more information about the program of the conference and the speakers, as well as instructions how to buy tickets, on the event website.

UPDATE 10.3.2020: due to the global Covid-19 outbreak, the event has been postponed. Stay tuned for updates.
