According to a research, about 50% of a person’s good health depends on his or her own lifestyle. For this reason, Vilnius district municipality is developing a project, which aims to improve schoolchildren’s knowledge of health. The project’s budget is 280 000 Euros, 85% of which are provided by the European Regional Development Fund.

Across 15 schools or more in Vilnius, children will be taught about healthy habits, gender equality and non-discrimination, among other issues. They will also be trained to use defibrillators and to provide basic first aid in the event of an emergency.
