Final days to visit Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2019

Running till the end of the week, the Irish festival celebrates the love for learning for a lifetime

The Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2019 is running at this moment. This week, from 8th to 14th April, more than 200 free events will take place across the Irish city and county under the topic Bridging the Gap. Various types of activities aim to promote learning throughout life, including tours, lectures, performances, displays, workshops and demonstrations, both in and outdoors. What is more, the events aim to showcase the importance of various competences essential for today’s world, including: digital skills, parenting, physical activity, science, etc. re-skill, up-skill, vocational, continuing education, there is something for everyone.

Learning Limerick Steering Group which is behind the organization of the Festival represents all main stakeholders active in the promotion of learning across the city and county. The Limerick Community Education Network (LCEN) are also hosting the Learning Neighbourhoods Showcase. What is left to see for the final four days of the festival programme is:

  • The Irish Union Workhouses- The Impact on the Irish People
