Local authorities in Austria's Graz have inaugurated their newest digital tool meant to help families make the most out of their leisure time in the city – namely, the Leisure Map that gives an excellent overview of all one can do in the urban area.

Innovation to the benefit of families

“We want to make Graz the most family-friendly city in Austria. That means we work every day to improve the quality of life for children and families in our city and to optimize framework conditions” stated Youth and Family councilor Kurt Hohensinner upon unveiling the new digital tool.

According to officials, Graz has plenty to offer in terms of leisurely activities but not all of them are immediately apparent and visible. That marketing problem, however, is being resolved precisely through the new map that gives all users the chance to explore what one can do inside the urban city.

“Graz has a lot to offer! With the new leisure map, we are now able to clearly display all offers for families at the push of a button. Special thanks go to the city surveying team. The amazing technical know-how has resulted in a particularly great service for the people of Graz," continues Kurt Hohensinner.

While using the map, which you can find at https://graz.at/freizeit-map, you will find all that’s available in Graz divided into several categories. For example, you can discover the most popular hiking, biking and running routes, all public and publicly accessible children's playgrounds as well as all youth centres. With just a single click on each of those venues, you’ll be redirected to photos, opening times and additional information that can help you and your family plan a perfect day in the city.
