Are you up for a less-ordinary type of a walk? What about one that combines walking and sailing? You can do it at your own pace with the Hop on – Hop Off water-tramway operating in the Belgian city of Gent which has just been launched for another 8-months long season. Not only will you see a long list of fifty must-see attractions, but you will also be able to fully relax over-water while listening to carefully-selected stories about the city. City tips, walking tours and additional information are available to further enhance your experience in English, Dutch, French or German.

Embarking on the unusual public transport vessel is possible via the following six stops: Castle of the Counts, Graslei-Korenlei, Museum Site, St Peter's Abbey, St Bavo's Cathedral and Veldstraat and is free for the owners of CityCard Gent. What is more, on-board you will learn details about six walking routs starting from each hopspot and discover easily the hidden gems of Gent.

The service is available from 1st April to 1st November. Find out more info about pricing and subscriptions on the website of the water tram.
