Levi is one of the largest ski resorts in Finland. It is located in Kittilä Municipality in the province of Lapland, just 15 minutes from the Kittilä airport and some 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. The region has become a very popular holiday destination, especially in winter, thanks to the world-famous, stylish and welcoming ski resort of Levi.
Levi represents an area of outstanding natural beauty, regardless of the season. Here you can find silence, pureness and unique natural environment. Here the reflections of the Northern Lights on the surface of the water are once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Levi is one of only three Finnish ski resorts equipped with a gondola lift. There are 45 slopes, 15 of which are floodlit. Most of them are suitable for beginners and intermediates but there are 4 black slopes for experts. The longest slope is 2.5 km long, the highest vertical drop is 325 m, and the resort also boasts one superpipe, one halfpipe, ten children’s slopes, two snow parks, and 27 lifts.
Youthful nightlife and relaxed atmosphere
To cater for those who find that the cold, fresh air has whetted their appetites, there are seven restaurants on the slopes. Levi offers also a village centre with bars, shops, and restaurants.
Visitors who want to do a little more than speed down a hill will be delighted to find that there are 230 km of cross-country skiing tracks and 886 km of snowmobiling tracks. There are ample opportunities to take a husky or snowmobile ride or visit a reindeer park.
The traditional Finnish culture can also be explored at the Samiland exhibition on the Levi fell and at the spectacular Snow Village – the largest snow structure of its kind in Europe.
