Spend the lovely weekend outside, helping your community by participating in the events organised by Maardu municipality! The Maardu City Council cordially invites all residents to take part in a city-wide cleaning blitz over the weekend. On 4 and 5 May citizens will have the opportunity to participate in the clean-up of the mess that the winter season always leaves and officially welcome the coming of spring. The mayor of Maardu, Vladimir Arhipov, issued an appeal to his constituents, asking them to help reinvigorate the city either by joining the initiatives organised by the local government or by simply cleaning up their own homes and their surrounding areas.
The activities planned by the municipal government for the weekend start on Saturday 4 May at 10 at Maardu Rahvamaja. There, participants will receive the necessary equipment for the day’s tasks, they will be divided into groups and head out to their assigned areas. On the following day, 5 May, residents are asked to join in the fun of planting 50 trees aimed at beautifying the city. The organisers will be expecting you at 10 AM at Muuga Boulevard.
If you have any questions regarding the initiative you can write at firstname.lastname@example.org
