Milan - hundreds in line to taste the largest panettone in the world

The first slice was for the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe "Beppe" Sala

Hundreds of Milanese got in line in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to get a slice of the largest panettone in the world. The first slice went to the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe "Beppe" Sala, who, to cut the panettone, had co climb a ladder.

The dessert was really enormous: 2 meters in height, 80 centimeters in diameter and 140 kilos which gave 1200 slices and to make it took 4 days and 4 people.
