Paris to deploy public drinking water fountains not of the ordinary kind but providing sparkling water, report from The Telegraph.
The idea could easily be dismissed as useless, however, some years ago the deployment of smaller sparkling water fountains actually brought good feedback.
The locals call the fountains “La Petillante” meaning glittering or sparkling.
The initial goal of the project is to make Paris citizens use less plastic bottles. France occupies the 8th place in the world regarding the use of plastic bottled water.
