Rome's Christmas tree is said to have been delivered to the Italian capital already dead. Its positioning in the center of the city was quite controversial as it looked peculiar and many Romans even considered it a symbol of the current state of Rome.

The tree, however, turned out to have a lot of fans too. Many locals and tourists loved it and a Twitter account was created for it. Rome's city council is now considering putting the tree in Rome's MAXXI modern art museum.
