Munich Airport has negotiated a strategic partnership in the field of digitization with Siemens and other partners to work together on the digital future. In near future, project participants will use data analysis, internet of things and AI technologies to improve the energy efficiency of airport buildings and logistics of the baggage handling system.

Plans also includes the use of digital technology to make the time spent by passengers at the airport more enjoyable. To achieve these goals, Siemens has become a partner in LabCampus, a major digital airport project for the future.

LabCampus is the new innovation center at Munich Airport. Companies, start-ups, universities and research institutes need to work together in the field of new technologies.
