As TheMayor.EU informs on a yearly basis, again in 2019 the European Week of Sport is set to take place between 23 and 30 September. Millions of people, sports athlets, enthusiasts, experts and associations from across Europe will join one of the biggest sport initiatives in the world.

Initiated and led by the European Commission and co-organised by national coordinators and sports partners all over Europe, the sports event promotes an active lifestyle through a variety of activites and celebrations. The 5th edition of the European Week of Sport will be the biggest one yet, with events supported by 47 partner associations in 41 countries. The 2019 Week is for everyone – no matter  of age, profession or sport skills. The event aims to support individuals, public authorities, sports movements, civil society organisations and the private sector to collaborate in the field of sports.
