Interest in Estonia’s e-solutions has continued to grow over the years. Therefore the old and much smaller e-Estonia showroom was replaced by a brand new briefing center. The new e-Estonia briefing centre has just opened at Tallinn’s Ülemiste City. One of the main objectives of the briefing centre is to bring interested parties from foreign countries together with those Estonian businesses that provide e-solutions and, thereby, to increase Estonia’s export of e-services.
The exposition introduces the digital services the state provides in Estonia, such as the digital identity cards, X-Road (a solution that enables organisations to exchange information over the internet), online voting, online tax board and e-residency (a digital residency for non-citizens). E-solutions developed by several Estonian private tech and software companies are also on display. Besides this, visitors can build their own digital state – and in contrast, experience the labyrinth of bureaucracy.
