The construction of the park in Czyżyny, Krakow was announced

The start of construction work on the park in Czyżyny was announced last week, report the local authorities of Krakow.  On 22nd May 2019 it was made clear that works on the аssembling of a park in one of the eighteen districts of the polish city will soon begin. Located at ul. Stella-Sawickiego near the historic hangar, it is expected to be completed by mid-2020.

According to the preliminary planification, the park will occupy about 3 hectares. It will include a number of utilities: a multipurpose field, outdoor gym, parkour park, bird feeders, toilet, WallHolla device (a multifunctional modular play structure for children) and other small architecture elements.

The park will improve immensely the life quality of those living in the area, their number exceeding 27 thousand. Moreover, it will be important for Krakow as well, as the district of Czyżyny where it will be built is a central one. The cost of the investment will amount to PLN 10.5 million.  What is more, the project for the new park is to be implemented within the framework of the civic budget of Krakow. The participatory budgeting scheme of the city enables residents to submit their suggestions and participate directly in the decision-making process when it comes to the allocation of the part of the city's budget meant for the implementation of resident-submitted ideas.
