In Rome on the TIM network, the first European 5G standard video call on millimetric band was launched in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and Ericsson technology. It was carried out on the occasion of the opening of the first TIM Innovation Hub dedicated to 5G.
This is an important step in the way that will lead to the commercial use of 5G technology in Europe in a short time. During the Rome event the first smartphones compatible with the 5G were shown, together with the first solutions and services of the new ultra-fast mobile network such as the remote-guided car, the remote visit of museums and works of art thanks to the reality virtual, remote control of industrial robots, remote control systems, and multiplayer interactive video reality games.
