Uber had resumed operations in Vienna, two days after a court ruling took the ride-hailing service off the road following a complaint from a local taxi firm. Uber Austria had worked intensively on adjusting their procedures. They want to become a good parter of the Austrian capital and they have taken into account all complaints and opinions of the users and drivers.
The complaint against Uber was brought by the Taxi 40100 company that said the Uber was infringing competition rules in Vienna. Ride-hailing services have met with protests from taxi drivers in numerous cities and varying levels of resistance from authorities in Europe and around the world.
