The municipality of Zreče and the German investor Erlebnis Akademie have laid the groundwork for the construction of a unique and innovative project in Slovenia. The edifice – a first of its kind, will consist of a 35-meter-high tower, walkways hanging 20 meters above ground with a total length of 1000 meters (560 m. long promenade and 440 meters of circular paths), as well as tunnel slide 40 meters long.  The construction will be built entirely out of wood and will fit perfectly into the natural look of the forest. Visitors will be able to travers the beautiful surrounding forest’s canopy from very high up and enjoy nature in a brand new way.

The municipality is expecting great returns from this incredibly innovative project. Although the construction itself will demand only 20 or 30 workers with only some of them being locals, the amount of tourism it will generate upon completion will surely benefit the town of Zreče. They expect over 200,000 visitors annually and are aiming the ticket pricing at around 10 euros for adults. Due to the influx of tourists, a butterfly effect will follow which will make tourism play an even bigger part in the municipality’s economy.
