Some 650 thousand euros will be allocated to the cultural associations of the Metropolitan City of Florence in 2020 thanks to a resolution that was approved at the last meeting of the Metropolitan Council.

In support of culture throughout the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic

In spite of the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 crisis, a resolution approved at the meeting of the Metropolitan Council, presented by Letizia Perini, councillor responsible for Culture, will guarantee funding grants for cultural associations or other types of legal entities of a cultural nature.

Of the 735 thousand euros that have been allocated for the culture call, 650 thousand euros remain usable. The Metropolitan Council has decided to give half of these resources to these associations - those who have participated in the calls for tenders over the past two years will be able to request 30 per cent of what had been provided by the Metropolitan City of Florence.

In addition, "the associations that organize events until October will be able to present the project to the offices and the Metropolitan City will be able to cover up to 80 per cent of the expenses for a maximum of 30 thousand euros in the event of participation in both contribution lines. Also, in this case, associations that have participated in the tenders in the last two years will have access to the contribution."

Here you can find the notice of granting extraordinary economic benefits to associations or other types of legal entities operating in the cultural field for the year 2020. The call for the granting of extraordinary contributions to associations or other economic subjects operating in the cultural field alongside the necessary attachments can be downloaded from the website of the Metropolitan City of Florence.
