EU Green Capital Valencia will host 2024 edition of European Urban Resilience Forum

Des destinations de 7 pays ont préparé une candidature en tant que Grand Spa de l'Europe
Des villes européennes, emblèmes du thermalisme, vont déposer conjointement une application pour la Liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO plus tard en janvier. L’objectif est de préserver et de valoriser le patrimoine des villes thermales, tout en soulignant l’importance des sources thermales naturelles en tant que biens culturels et en particulier leur valeur médicale et en soulignant les avantages des infrastructures urbaines existantes, entre autres.
Parmi les autres villes thermales de France, seule Vichy a été présélectionnée, notamment grâce à ses infrastructures sportives - golf, hippodrome et culturelles- Opéra art nouveau, casino, ainsi que pour l'urbanisme et l'architecture développés pendant le Second Empire. Le Musée d'art d'Afrique et d'Asie, le Musée de l'Opéra, la collection de photographies Portraits vont également supporter l'application.
À cette occasion, Vichy mettra en valeur son patrimoine tout au long de l’année, à travers divers événements, une exposition majeure sur l’histoire de 2000 ans de Vichy, la reine des villes thermales.
La candidature est dirigée par la République tchèque et préparée conjointement par 11 villes de 7 pays:
Le maire de Vichy, Frédéric Aguilera, donnera plus d’informations le 17 janvier. La campagne d'information commence en février et la réponse est attendue l'année prochaine.
