The Croatian city is one of Europe’s most romantic destinations
To mark Valentine’s Day this month, the Opatija Tourist Board has decorated the city’s coastal promenade and parks with hearts, symbols of love, and romantic messages in multiple languages. In a press release, the municipality explains that these decorations serve to further secure Opatija’s reputation as one of the most romantic destinations in Europe.
“Love is the "leitmotif" of February, but also the entire history of Opatija, which is why our city always has a special, romantic atmosphere and is one of the most sought-after destinations for weddings and trips for two. For Valentine's Day, we especially emphasize and encourage this atmosphere with decorations, decoration, lighting, music, but also special offers that make February in Opatija an ideal holiday for lovers,” commented Suzi Petričić, Director of the Opatija Tourist Board.
To make this month even more special, Opatija’s hoteliers and restaurants will also provide couples with special discounts and offers.
