Deliveries can be scheduled via mobile app
Milton Keynes is the first town in the UK and so far in the world, that offers packages to be delivered to the doorsteps of citizens by a robot. The robot works through a mobile app which helps with the scheduling of deliveries and users can track their packages in the app.
However, several problems arise with the delivery robots. They still have to travel the sidewalks of cities and will most certainly cause problems with traffic. Not only other traffic, though, the robots will be quite slow, much slower than courier drones, for example. Another worry of users is that their packages might be stolen. Delivery men fear too, that the robots might actually replace them.
