For every age group – children, adults and elderly people
The Finnish city of Rovaniemi informed that it is offering a full spectrum of opportunities for various physical activities during the summer. There are both free and paid physical activities for guests and inhabitants from every age group – children, adults and elderly people. The facilities of many parks and playgrounds in Rovaniemi are free during the whole year while the residents need to buy seasonal cards for access to some other activities under the supervision of instructors.
Everybody can practice free park aerobics at Saarenkylä sports centre at 6 pm every Monday and outdoor circuit training every Wednesday at 6 pm at the multi-arena at the city football field. No enrollment is needed and everyone can join the groups. These supervised exercising activities are available until the end of July.
There are also plenty of different tracks and routes for walkers, runners and cyclists available near the city to make summer more beautiful and attractive to people. Rovaniemi has a large number of public playgrounds for physical exercises, like the central sports ground Saarenkylä, Ounashalli ground, Muurola ground, Mäntyvaara ground and racetrack for various sports services.
With Summer Pass that costs 25 euros everybody can participate on guided outdoor exercises which will be organized until end of July. With the same card one can also use the gym in Keltakangas Sports Hall. There are also guided gym exercises every Tuesday and Thursday up until 31 July. Gym exercises are also available at Totto-Hall in Muurola. They will remain available until 23 August. The pass costs 20 euros and can be taken from Muurola Library.
This, however, is likely to change soon
