First rabbit café in Europe has opened doors in Krakow, Poland local media report. As its name suggests, one can enter it and enjoy a cup of coffee and a good dessert in the company of several rescue bunnies.
But on top of being a place of entertainment, the establishment has an important social and environmental mission: educate people about rabbits and their responsible adoption.
Bunny Café, as it is called, represents a rabbit sanctuary with a living space for rabbits, offering as much as 150m2 of area for them to play. And while they play, visitors to the café can observe their behavior and learn about the animals’ nature, from a rabbit behaviorist. Moreover, one can learn about the proper care for animals and the advantages and responsibilities related to their adoption.

Bunny Café (Królicza Kawiarnia) is located on 4, Długa street, 31-146 Krakówworks. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 11:00 to 21:00 (but bunnies sleep between 15:00 and 16:00, hence they should not be disturbed at this time). If you simply want to go watch them, you are free to do so. If you prefer to get some sweets and drinks and enjoy your time, you can do so for a few euros only.
It is important to know that kids under 6 years of age must be accompanied, while no more than 10 people can be in the playing space at the same time. The entrance to the bunny area is subject to strict regulations, so as to ensure animal welfare.
