David Lisnard, born February 2, 1969 in Limoges (France), has been Mayor of Cannes since 2014 (re-elected in 2020), Vice-President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department since 2015 and President of the Cannes Lérins agglomeration since 2017.
He has also been Vice-President and spokesperson for the Association of Mayors of France since 2017.
A graduate of Sciences Po Bordeaux, he was recruited in 1996 as Chief of Staff and Parliamentary Attaché to the Deputy Mayor of Lons-le-Saunier, capital of Jura.
In 1999, he returned to Cannes and became campaign manager for Bernard Brochand for the 2001 municipal elections. He was then elected deputy mayor in charge of tourism and economic development and president of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes.
In 2008, during the municipal elections, he was elected first deputy mayor.
In 2014, David Lisnard ran for Cannes City Hall where he was widely elected with nearly 59% of the vote. He commits his mandate to the fight against incivism and the protection of taxpayers.
In 2020, he was re-elected Mayor of Cannes with the historic score of 88.1% of the vote.
