Una perla tra le città lungo la Costiera Amalfitana
Amalfi è un incredibile gioiello italiano. Il sui edifici bianchi brillano come una perla nella spiaggia tra le città lungo la Costiera Amalfitana. È una delle città più storiche d'Italia, avendo avuto una storia gloriosa come una repubblica marittima il cui status si unì ai ranghi delle centrali costiere come Venezia e Genova. Amalfi fu per secoli un ponte commerciale tra il mondo bizantino e quello occidentale. La sua importanza in quella storica lega commerciale viene celebrata ogni anno con la Regata delle quattro antiche Repubbliche marinare, che si svolge ogni anno in giugno. È un evento spettacolare.
Amalfi inizia in riva al mare con una bella passeggiata lungo il Mediterraneo e un porto turistico pieno di barche colorate con bandiere internazionali. Il punto focale del centro storico è Piazza del Duomo, di fronte alla cattedrale. In piazza ci sono tanti caffè e negozi, ma la chiesa ti invita di visitarla. La struttura in stile bizantino che presenta archi e decorazioni con influenze moresche, il Duomo di Sant'Andrea è davvero impressionante.
I valori architettonici e artistici dei suoi monumenti e palazzi storici, l'indescrivibile bellezza dei suoi paesaggi, il suo folklore e le sue tradizioni hanno reso e fanno ancora Amalfi una delle destinazioni mondiali più desiderate per ogni estate.
