El jueves 5 de noviembre la web oficial de la Xunta de Galicia informó sobre el nombramiento del nuevo Comité Gallego de Justicia Deportiva (CGXD), habiéndose realizado la última renovación de su composición en 2016. Es la primera vez que el Comité estará encabezado por una mujer, en concreto María Dolores Rodríguez, una abogada de Vigo, con amplia experiencia en derecho deportivo, que ya ejercía como integrante del mismo organismo durante 8 años.
Es más, también es la primera vez que el Comité contará con una membresía mayoritariamente femenina, con 3 de los 5 miembros siendo mujeres. Este es un progreso importante para un campo que tradicionalmente se ha inclinado fuertemente hacia la representación masculina, a pesar de la participación equitativa de las mujeres en los deportes. Solo tiene sentido que la toma de decisiones se administre desde un organismo más representativo proporcionalmente.
El nuevo equipo del Comité fue recibido y recibido por el secretario general para el Deporte, José Ramón Lete Lasa. Elogió el trabajo de la administración anterior, que logró resolver más de 360 casos durante los últimos cuatro años.
Lete Lasa también afirmó que durante el nuevo mandato la CGXD tendrá la tarea de impulsar su sección de arbitraje para buscar soluciones extrajudiciales de los conflictos privados en el ámbito deportivo.
Si bien el Comité de Justicia Deportiva forma parte del sistema de la Secretaría General del Deporte, es una institución funcionalmente independiente de este último. El Comité es la versión regional del Tribunal Administrativo Deportivo, que tiene la misma capacidad a nivel nacional.
La justicia deportiva no es un ámbito bien desarrollado todavía en todos los países, pero es bastante fundamental dada la importancia que tiene el deporte en nuestra vida diaria.
Entre las competencias de la CGXD están revisar las sanciones disciplinarias que imponen las federaciones deportivas a clubes y deportistas, velar por la equidad y limpieza de los torneos y velar por el proceso electoral de las federaciones deportivas regionales.
