La sindaca di Ancona Valeria Mancinelli ha scritto un libro sulla sua esperienza di amministratrice. Il libro è uscito martedì 29 ottobre “I principi del buongoverno. La visione di un sindaco nel caos del mondo che cambia”.
La prima presentazione del volume è in programma oggi, mercoledi 6 novembre alle ore 18,00 al Ridotto delle Muse di Ancona.
“Sono sorpresa pure io – scrive Valeria Mancinelli -. Mi hanno chiesto di scrivere un libro dopo la vittoria del “World Mayor Prize 2018” e la rielezione a sindaco di Ancona avvenuta nel giugno 2018, in un momento in cui tutte le forze politiche della sinistra sembravano al tracollo. Non è un libro su di me, non volevo questo. Ho piuttosto provato a raccontare cosa significhi per me fare politica, impegnarsi davvero per migliorare la vita delle persone. Ho tentato di declinare ciò che un sindaco deve fare per governare bene e che oggi appare eversivo a molti del mondo a cui appartengo: scegliere la propria squadra in totale autonomia, ascoltare la pancia e le paure delle persone, decidere, stare sul campo e agire”.
Valeria Mancinelli è nata ad Ancona il 13 marzo 1955. Lei è stata eletta sindaca di Ancona il 11 giugno 2013 e rieletta per il secondo mandato il 25 giugno 2018. Mancinelli è la prima donna ad essere eletta sindaca della città di Ancona.
Nell'intervista per TheMayor.EU Mancinelle descrive il commune di Ancona cosi: “Ho la fortuna di essere il Sindaco di una città bellissima. Ancona sorge su un promontorio che dà origine ad un golfo nella cui parte più interna si trova il porto naturale. Il promontorio è a forma di gomito (di qui il nome di Ancona, dal greco Ankon) ed è bagnato dal mare, sia ad est che ad ovest. Per questo nella mia città il sole sorge e tramonta sul mare: ed è di una bellezza unica.”
