Neversea is one of the biggest and most widely-anticipated music festivals in Romania. The event is held each year in Constanta on the Black Sea coast. Around 250,000 people, from Romania and from abroad, attended the 2019 edition of the festival. The programme included more than 150 top international artists. As soon as the tickets were put on sale at the end of 2019, more than 10,000 passes were sold for the 2020 event in less than one day.
In 2020 the event will take place between July 2 and July 5. The organisers of Neversea have already announced the first artists for this year’s edition. Black Eyed Peas, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Passenger, Parov Stelar, Tyga, Timmy Trumpet, Tujamo, Nicky Romero, Nina Kraviz, Jamie Jones, Dub FX, Borgore, and Paul Kalkbrenner were among the first names to be announced.
The popular music event is planning to become the world's first green energy-powered festival thanks to the wind farms operated nearby. According to the organizers, this year the Neversea Festival aims to become the first ever music festival in the world supplied almost entirely with green energy from a wind source from the Fântânele-Cogealac-Grădina Wind Farm located in Constanţa County. The organizers have already signed a partnership with an energy company. In the 2020 edition almost the entire event will be supplied with energy from the wind farm.
In addition, measures will be taken to prevent, reduce and offset any adverse effects on the environment as selective waste collection and recycling, replacement of plastic dishes with glass or recyclable cartons, removal of plastic strains and a wide array of reusable decoration.
Every year the 4-day adventure combines memorable music performances with entertainment, lifestyle, fashion & technology, all sprinkled with a dash of seaside adventure.
