The Mayor of Blagoevgrad Municipality, Dr. Atanas Kambitov, officially inaugurated 183 new houses under the project "Construction of Social Homes in the IVth Microregion". "This is only one of the many completed projects. Last week we have started another new project. Since the beginning of the year, we have opened a total of six sites. 183 homes are already ready for the young, and families in need. I think this is indicative of the work of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and our social policy. 500 social homes already exist in the municipality, together with the new ones they become 700. This means that the Municipality of Blagoevgrad gives 700 families the opportunity to have a home." said Mayor Kambitov. Apart from representatives of the municipality at the official ceremony, many citizens were present.
Before the start of the official opening ceremony of the three blocks, a final press conference led by the project manager was also given. During the meeting, the achieved results and the total value of the project were presented - 4,606,555 euros. The newly built social homes are 183, they will provide shelter and normal living conditions for the families in need. The homes are ready for accommodation - fully furnished, household appliances, TVs, modern bathrooms, some of which are adapted for people with motor disorders. The social homes are also equipped with basic household utensils. The new complex is heated by gas from its own power plant, announced the municipality.
