The project A.L.E.C.O aims to revive the European entrepreneurial spirit by allowing young Europeans to get the best experience from top world innovation destinations and to apply it in Europe. The First European program proposed by Bulgaria will give boost to EU competitiveness. The program, which has a budget of 750,000 Euros, will provide financial support to young entrepreneurs from EU Member States for up to six-month internships in companies in the United States, Singapore, and Israel. The applicants will receive a monthly stipend of 1,000 euro, and additional money of up to 800 Euros for travel fare.
Within two years, the program will encourage young and innovative entrepreneurs or future ones in the start-up and develop of their own businesses. The program is designed for three types of entrepreneurs. The first group of entrepreneurs is the one that has started their own businesses in the last 3 years. The second one includes the future entrepreneurs who have a workable business plan and a commitment for starting their businesses. Last but not least are the entrepreneurs who have already taken part in Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs and meet all the other conditions.
