The deadline for submission is 21 November
The European 5G pioneer award, announced by Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel earlier this year is now open for submission of projects that have adopted 5G technology in their products or services. The award is an initiative organized by the European Commission and GSMA, which represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, to highlight the role of pioneering organisations in Europe that are adopting 5G technology.
The European 5G Pioneer Award will showcase the exceptional achievements of front-runners adopting 5G in Europe and preparing for the commercial launch of 5G services. 5G will be a key factor for European competitiveness in the next decade, as 5G connectivity has the potential to digitize all sectors of the economy and bring many benefits for an increasingly digital society. The deadline for submission is 21 November 2018. The award will be presented at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) ceremony at the Mobile World Congress 2019.
