Digital skills for the Digital economy
Today, 90% of jobs require workers to have Digital skills and the use of Digital technologies will continue to grow in the future. Through the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, the European Commission invites companies and other organisations to make commitments to upskill workers and employees across all sectors of the economy – e.g. banks, health care, manufacturing, transport, teaching, farming, etc.
The Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition has opened a call for pledges specifically addressing re-skilling and upskilling workers outside of the ICT-sector e.g. – banks, health care, manufacturing, transport, teaching, farming, etc. Your organisation should first become a member of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and, successively, make a pledge for action by the end of April 2018. Pledges could be made by individual organisations or companies or can be collective pledges made by different organisations. The Secretariat of the Coalition will support pledgers in facilitating collaborations or scaling up actions.
