This year's theme is “For a strong EU cohesion policy beyond 2020”. The context of the 2018 #EURegionsWeek is set by the 30th anniversary of the cohesion policy and the debates on the future of the European Union and the EU budget. Besides addressing the EU's multi-annual budget, cohesion policy, and the related legislative proposals, the sessions during the week will tackle a range of topics.
Partners can propose sessions linked to different thematic clusters: Territorial development (regiona, urban, rural); Future of cohesion policy, EU budget; Education, culture and youth. Other possible topics include for instance energy, climate and environment; research and innovation; sustainable transport and mobility; as well as agriculture and food production, and several other themes.
