Celebrate the European Day of Languages with the European Commission

Join the event in Brussels

On 27 September, the European Commission will host an event to celebrate the European Day of Languages in the Charlemagne conference centre in Brussels: “Learning three languages in school: multilingual education and cultural expression”. Participants will be able to take part in a discussion about policy and practice, enjoy poetry, music and pictures and discover an exhibition presenting some less known languages spoken in the European Union. All this will demonstrate the richness of Europe’s linguistic heritage.

The European Day of Languages, established by the European Commission and the Council of Europe, is a annual opportunity to raise awareness around language learning and linguistic diversity and to celebrate the linguistic heritage of the European community.
