Select the design of the Christmas decorations in Ostrava before August 1st
It is never too early to get ready for Christmas or at least that is what one Czech city believes. What is more, Ostrava invites residents and visitors to fully immerse themselves in the holiday experience by selecting the design of the Christmas decorations for the upcoming holiday in December. It was back in 2010 when the tradition started, allowing people to choose the appearance of colorful lights, shapes and various other accessories.
Through an online poll, everybody can select among nine anonymously published variations. One vote per IP address is permitted daily and the competition will be closed on August 1st. We have already cast a vote, so can you.
The offered price for the decorators is set at a maximum of CZK 1.45 million without VAT. It includes the assembly and installation, rental, disassembly and storage of the items. The main condition is that the decorations make use of LED light technology with flash which creates a sparkling effect. For this year's Christmas and New Year holidays, the decoration will be installed on the Town Hall building and in the Prokeš square between the 30th of November and the 6th of January 2020.
