Civic procession of el Vitor in Spain

It commemorates the arrival of the relics of the saint in his birthplace

After two years in which el Vitor procession could not take place due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the town of Mayorga in Valladolid, Spain celebrates its traditional procession on 27 September, from the house of Santo Toribio de Mogroviejo to the chapel.

The burning of the grape skins, which takes place during the patronal feast, commemorates the arrival of the relics of the saint in his birthplace.
