1000 different investment strategies mapped within 28 countries
The 2014-2020 Cohesion Policy provides Member States with new opportunities to support sustainable urban development and other integrated territorial strategies. Emphasis is put on the integrated nature of these, tackling the main urban and territorial challenges in cross-cutting ways to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of individual actions. So far, almost one thousand strategies have been mapped within 28 countries.
The tool not only enables policy-makers, experts and all those interested to explore the different investment strategies by geographical unit (from countries to localities), but also by different attributes, such as localisation, spatial focus, thematic concentration, size of population, funding arrangements and implementation mechanisms. Together these different features form a unique knowledge base on the integrated approach to urban and territorial development as supported by current EU provisions and tools.
