Due to the current situation with COVID-19 the increasing number of cases in Romania, the "Adopt a puppy" campaign, initiated by the City Hall of Constanța has gone digital. Adoptions and claims made over the next few weeks will be carried out in compliance with strict restrictions in order to protect the health and lives of citizens.
Community dogs are available for adoption at the public shelter located on Vârful cu Dor street № 5, 208. The Romanian municipality encourages the responsible adoption of community dogs and reminds citizens that, abandonment of dogs is a crime and is sanctioned according to Emergency Ordinance no. 155 of November 21, 2001.
People who fall in love with a picture of one of the city's dogs available on the website of the City Hall of Constanța or on the Facebook page of the municipality can send it to the specifically created email address: animali.abandonate@primaria-constanta.ro. Those requesting the adoption of a dog are asked to leave an email and a phone number to be contacted.
In order to be able to adopt a dog, the future owners will have the full support of the employees of the Abandoned Animals Management Service, which can be contacted at the phone number 0733.045213. They will check if the animal is available for adoption.
If the dog can be adopted, those interested can send by email the necessary supporting documents for adoption, including the deed of possession of the space showing the appropriate conditions for raising and housing dogs, an identity card and proof of possession of the necessary financial resources for care animal.
The forms necessary for adoption will be sent by the employees of the Abandoned Animals Management Service on the same email, to be completed and scanned (photographed).
