Croatia's first “forest kindergarten” opened in Pula

There, children are growing up surrounded by nature and in complete freedom

By following the environmental and educational trends, the Croatian city of Pula in Istria opened the country's very first ''forest kindergarten''. Parents are ecstatic to see their children smiling amidst greenery, picking flowers, or eating at a picnic. The so called “forest kindergarten” offers a real carefree childhood, giving the unique possibility of growing up in the woods. Children will play in nature, in complete freedom. Of course, while under constant supervision, nobody will stop them from sitting on the ground, getting dirty, taking off their shoes and jumping into a puddle.

Behind the project of the first forest kindergarten in Croatia, in which the children will reside almost constantly outdoors, is the kindergarten "Forest children". There children will spend all their time outside in the forest nursery, where they will explore, play and develop their imaginations, their skills and physiques. They will eat in the forest, and ultimately sleep there, too. When the weather turns bad during winter, the kindergarten also boasts a regular facility where the children will be able to take shelter and sleep.
