Details about the long-anticipated Urban Future Global Conference 2020’s programme have finally been revealed and we’re ready to present you some of the highlights.

The conference is set to be held between 1 and 3 April 2020 in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon and it will bring together a myriad of speakers and panellists. Organisers have successfully managed to craft an intricate programme of over 70 sessions with some 100 partners and are ready to reveal the details of the UFGC20 programme. Within it, you’ll always be able to find something of interest - with over 160 speakers, 10 tracks and 38 field trips covering the city of Lisbon.

Highlights of the conference

Here you’ll be able to find some of the highlights of what to come, divided in the several thematic fields

  • In the field of mobility, don’t miss out the panel titled Route 2: Making People change their mobility behaviour – among the speakers one will be able to find none other than Koen Kennis, Antwerp’s deputy mayor for mobility.
  • In the field of water, there’s the panel Flush them: Breaking down the barriers of reuse, hosted by renowned experts in the field such as Joaquim Poças Martins | Director of the Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environmental Section at the University of Porto
  • When it comes to leadership, you shouldn’t miss out on the How to mobilize panel, presented by CEOs of several renowned companies and the mayor of the Albanian capital of Tirana
  • Finally, in the field of districts, be sure to check out Brownfield Unicorns: Turning big dreams into reality, hosted by several talented panellists, including Johan Snel, the Urban Planner at the City of Amsterdam and Dávid Vitézy, the Urban Director of the Hungarian Transport Museum.
