Dublin's newest festival is taking place this Saturday. “The Red Stables Festival” comes with a mission: to establish the link between food, nature and sustainability. The program promises a day jam-packed with interesting, inspirational and eye-opening experiences.
Starting with a talk on food management, the speakers will give practical examples on how to transform food habits and reduce food waste which is equivalent to around EUR 700 per household in Ireland annually. Later on, the educational and ethical aspects of food will be discussed in the participation of environmental scientists, climate change activists and journalists. Sustainable cooking, farm tours, visual arts exhibitions, cinema, walks and a variety of activities for children also make up the festival program.
Starting at 9:30 on 21 September, The Red Stables Festival will last till the late afternoon and offers free access (upon preliminary booking) or paid tickets with additional surprises. The organizers appeal to all visitors to consider the environment when planning their visit to the event, namely by avoiding the use of plastics and arriving in an environmentally-friendly way – on foot, by bus or bike.
