Easter Fun for children in Børglum Abbey

Easter Fun for children in Børglum Abbey

Find the golden Easter eggs

Come and search for the golden eggs every day during Easter, starting 10am in Børglum Abbey. Every night, the Easter bunny will come by and hide the eggs away in the herb garden. After you have founded one of the golden eggs, you have to exchange the egg in the café, to get a price. You will have an extraordinary experience, while visiting the abbey with the children.

Børglum Abbey was an important Premonstratensian abbey of medieval Denmark, located in Børglum, in the commune of Hjørring, approximately five kilometers east of Løkken in north central Jutland, Region Nordjylland.

During Easter, Danes celebrate mostly the arrival of springtime and with Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday being national holidays, they find Easter as a good opportunity for a short escape to their summer houses. It’s not very common for Danes to attend church during Easter and there aren’t any special religious events taking place during the holy week.
