EU Prize for Women Innovators is a competition open to women from across the EU and countries, who have founded a successful company and brought innovation to market. This award recognizes the role of women in bringing about game-changing innovations to market and honors the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs running innovative companies. The contest is funded under Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation programme.
The prize will be awarded to up to 4 women innovators in total, who have had the largest impact on the innovation ecosystem by transforming ideas into new and advanced products and/ services for the benefit of European citizens. Three prizes of 100 000 Euros each will be awarded in the main category, "Women Innovators". A special prize of 50 000 Euros will be given to a "Rising Innovator", an exceptional entrepreneur at the beginning of her career (35 years old or younger). Deadline for applications is 16 January 2019.
