Young people have now new opportunity to broaden their horizons. Education is not only about what we learn in class, what we read in books. It is what we discover about culture, traditions and values of each other. It is about our experiences. And we want that to be shared. The initiative "Free Interrail pass for Europeans turning 18" is with a budget of €12 million for 2018. Over 20,000 young people are going to benefit from this travel experience.
The Interrail tickets will allow the holders to enjoy unlimited travel across Europe’s rail network for a defined period of time. Other modes of transport will be made available in member state countries that aren’t covered by Interrail, such as Latvia, Cyprus and Malta. Only 18-year-old EU citizens or those legally residing within the European Union will be able to be part of the ticket giveaway.
