The 25th edition of the Family Day festival in Budakeszi City is up with another pleasant surprise. A full-day cooking competition for teams is going to be organised for those who are eager to express themselves through the art of cooking in front of a wide audience. The contest is open to families, groups of friends, colleagues or random groups of enthusiasts ready to form a team.
Teams should be composed of 20-25 persons and mention the name of their chef, sous-chef and the category upon registration.
The Hungarian Municipality has prepared many surprises for the participants, but first and foremost – a prize for the winner. Following and evaluation by a professional jury, a work of Józsa Lajos, an internationally acclaimed sculptor living in Budakeszi, will be awarded for the first place. The top three in each category will receive a diploma, gift package and medals. Furthermore, special prizes are previewed for children’s teams. In each category, the first-place recipe will be published in the September 2019 issue of the Newsletter of the city.
The event will take place on August 24, 2019 (Saturday) but all willing to participate should register no later than 16th August 10 am and pay the entry fee. Start of the competition will be given at 7.30 local time at a designated by the organisers spot near Farkashegy Airport.
The price of monthly passes, however, will remain the same so that regular commuters won’t have to worry
