The city of Liège invests nearly 18 million euros for 120 projects that will be initiated or materialized in 2018 in the public space. These include redevelopment projects in neighborhoods, maintenance of roads, lighting, development for soft modes of transport and securing. After less than 7 months of the communal elections, the mayor, Roland Léonard emphasize that 2018 is fundamental for the improvement of the living environment in Liege.
The administrative city will see and feel in the coming months the designation of the consortium responsible for its renovation. Among the 120 projects, are the redevelopment of the end of the E313 motorway in Sainte-Walburge as an urban boulevard with cycle paths, a clean site for buses and green areas and the development of a parking-relay (310 places) in connection with buses to allow motorists to park their vehicles there and then get off by bus to the city center.
