Mittelfest 2018 – the festival dedicated to young artists and European values

Held in Cividale del Friuli from July 5th to 15th, Mittelfest 2018 is an intelligent mix of styles, genres and highbrow and popular culture, presenting a diversified audience with highly topical perspectives

Mittelfest 2018 with its theme: The Millennials – will offer the floor to some of the most brilliant European young talents and bring them together with the more experienced and finest European artists who are also “millennial” in their ideas and spirit. Held in Cividale del Friuli from July 5th to 15th, Mittelfest 2018 is an intelligent mix of styles, genres and highbrow and popular culture, presenting a diversified audience with highly topical perspectives, acting as an artistic focal point for Central Europe and the Balkans.

With more than thirty shows over ten days it blends many styles and genres, high and low culture. In numerical terms, this year Mittelfest has 31 artistic projects: 18 musical, 7 theatrical, 3 dance projects, 2 events and a children’s dance project. These include 4 world premieres, 18 Italian premieres and 30 regional premieres. Cividale will play host to hundreds of artists from more than 20 countries.
