More transparent and economical parcel delivery across EU

More transparent and economical parcel delivery across EU

The agreement will come into force at the beginning of 2018

Parcel delivery among the countries of the EU will become easier after the provisional agreement to make the services more transparent and economical. The agreement has an objective to remove difficulties people experience when buying online with very high delivery prices and unclear return rules.

This agreement is part of the European Commission's policy to boost e-commerce and allow clients and companies to buy and sell goods and services online more easily across the EU. It specifically aims at improving the conditions for small and medium-sized businesses. This is a step forward for the development of e-commerce in the EU, after  several agreements to improve consumer protection came into force.
